Gimmie and Harriet were coming home after shopping in town, when......

"What's that on the side of the road Harri?" said Gimmie. "Why, it looks like a puppy!"

And it was, a very sad little brown and white puppy.

Gimmie put the puppy on the floor of the car.

"We can't leave her all alone, Harri, you have to look after her," said Gimmie.
"I'll look after your little puppy," said Harriet.

When they got home Gimmie gave the puppy a drink
and some food. Everyone came to look at the new arrival.

Soon a much happier puppy was playing
'Tug the Rag' with Harriet.

"Well," said Gimmie, "if she is going to stay and live with us, she will have to have a name."

"What do you think would be a good name?"
Everyone thought very hard.
"How about we call her MOLLY."
